Privacy policy
Effective May 7, 2026
Our Table is built and operated by Qube Companies LLC ("Qube," "we," "us"). This
privacy policy explains what data we collect when you use the Our Table mobile
app and the Our Table website, why we collect it, who we share it with, and the
rights you have over it.
The short version. We collect what we need to run the app — your
account, your household preferences, your meal plans, and your ratings. We don't
sell your data, we don't show you ads, and we don't share your data with third
parties beyond the operational services we use to run the app (Firebase / Google
Cloud and Apple).
1. What we collect
Information you provide directly
- Account information. When you sign in with Apple, Apple
returns your name and email on the first sign-in. We store these so we can
address you in the app and contact you if needed. If you choose anonymous
sign-in (during testing only), we store only an opaque internal identifier.
- Household profile. Information you enter during onboarding,
including your age, sex, current and goal weight, activity level, eating
window, and (optionally) the same fields for a partner. This data powers
meal-plan personalisation and is stored under your user account.
- Preferences. Cuisines, allergens, dietary mode, protein
preferences, household size at dinner, primary cook, whole-food preference,
Saturday-night style, and variety target.
- Plan interactions. Recipe swaps, ratings (loved / meh /
skip), portion-scale adjustments, grocery item check-state, and your pantry
list.
- Feedback you submit. If you send feedback via the in-app
feedback button, we store the message you wrote, an optional rating, your
app version, and your device platform.
Information collected automatically
- Crash and error reports. If the app crashes or hits an
error we have flagged, Firebase Crashlytics records an anonymised report
(stack trace, device model, OS version, app version) so we can debug it.
- Product analytics. Firebase Analytics records anonymised
events about how the app is used — which screens you open, when you swap a
dinner, when onboarding completes — so we can see which features are working
and which are confusing. Events do not include the content of your meals,
your name, or your email.
- App and device metadata. Things like your app version,
operating system, and a random per-install identifier provided by Firebase.
2. How we use your data
- To generate, save, and sync your weekly meal plan across your devices.
- To personalise meal suggestions based on your preferences.
- To make the grocery list accurate for your household size.
- To debug crashes and errors.
- To understand which features are used so we can improve the product.
- To respond to feedback you submit.
- To send service-related communication (e.g. an account or billing notice).
We do not use your data for advertising, profiling for non-product purposes, or
any kind of automated decision-making with legal or similarly significant
effects.
3. Who we share it with
We share your data only with operational service providers we depend on to run the app:
- Google / Firebase. Authentication, database (Firestore),
crash reporting (Crashlytics), and product analytics (Firebase Analytics).
Data is stored in Google Cloud, primarily in the United States.
- Apple. Sign in with Apple authentication, App Store / TestFlight
distribution.
- RevenueCat & Stripe (when paid subscriptions launch). Used
only to process subscription billing — we never see or store your full payment
card details.
We do not sell your personal information. We do not share your personal
information with advertisers, data brokers, or marketing networks. We do not
share it with anyone else except where required by law (court order, subpoena, or
similar legal process), and we will tell you if that happens unless we are legally
prohibited from doing so.
4. Where it's stored and how long
Your data is stored in Google Cloud regions, primarily in the United States. We
keep your data for as long as your account exists. When you delete your account
(see below), we delete your user document and household data within 30 days.
Anonymised analytics events that cannot be linked back to you may be retained
longer for product analysis.
5. Your rights
You have the right to:
- Access the data we hold about you.
- Correct data that is inaccurate or incomplete.
- Delete your account and associated data.
- Export your data in a portable format.
- Object to or restrict certain processing.
- Withdraw consent at any time where we rely on consent
(e.g. analytics).
To exercise any of these rights, send a request via Settings → Send feedback
in the app. We respond within 30 days. We may need to verify your identity
before acting on the request.
Residents of California, Virginia, Colorado, Connecticut, Utah, and other
U.S. states with privacy statutes have these same rights under those laws and
may also have the right to opt out of the "sale" or "sharing" of personal
information — though we do not sell or share for cross-context behavioural
advertising. EU and UK residents have these rights under the GDPR / UK GDPR.
6. Children's privacy
Our Table is not intended for children under 13. We do not knowingly collect
personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child under 13 has
provided personal information to us, contact us via Settings → Send
feedback and we will delete the account and associated data.
7. International users
Our Table is operated from the United States. If you use the app from outside the
U.S., your data will be transferred to and processed in the United States, where
privacy laws may differ from those in your country. By using the app, you consent
to this transfer.
8. Security
We rely on industry-standard practices and on Google Cloud / Firebase security
controls to protect your data. No system is perfectly secure; we cannot guarantee
that an unauthorised party will never access your data. If a breach affecting your
data occurs, we will notify affected users without undue delay, and as required
by applicable law.
9. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. When we do, we will revise the
"Effective" date at the top of the page and, if the change is material, notify
active users in the app or by email before the change takes effect.
10. Contact
Questions about this policy or your data can be sent via Settings → Send
feedback in the app, or by emailing the Our Table team through the contact
information available on the App Store listing.
